Internship Opportunities
Are you, or someone you know looking for a rewarding and challenging opportunity to intern with a dynamic non-profit organization? United Way of Lake County has been making sure that the Lake County community has what it needs to succeed for over eighty years and we have internship positions available that can give you the chance to experience first-hand how you can impact this success.
You will receive supervised, hands on, practical knowledge that is directly related to your area of study. This experiential learning will prepare you for positions in the non-profit arena or hone your skills for the world of for-profit.

Special Projects Intern: Working with the Marketing Department independently and with a team to implement and coordinate special projects, collaborations and community visibility. Assist team with special events. Assist members of marketing team with administrative tasks.
Communications Intern: Working with the Marketing Department independently and with a team to implement and coordinate press and community relations through publicity and promotion with press, agencies, companies and staff. Assist members of marketing team with administrative tasks.
Community Development Intern: Working with the Community Development Department to assist in the implementation of Success By 6 and Youth Success programs and projects. Plays an active role in outcome measurement of projects and may have an active role in community engagement in target communities.
Accounting Intern: Working with the Finance & Administration Department you can increase your skills and knowledge in finance and accounting. Emphasis in the areas of accounts payable and receivables, account analysis, bank reconciliation, cash receipts, and journal entry processing.
Marketing Analyst: Working with the Resource Development Department to help conduct extensive research on current and potential businesses, to align philanthropic/community interest goals with community opportunities; and by identifying and developing strategies for obtaining new business opportunities.
Loaned Executive: Working with the Resource Development Department to manage employee campaigns in businesses, government organizations, and professional firms. Tasks include organizing employee rallies, training solicitors, making presentations to ask for donations, collecting donations, and making recommendations for future campaigns.
