$25,000 MacLean Fogg Challenge Grant Supports Kindergarten Club
Thanks to MacLean Fogg Companies and the 25 women who leveraged the grant with their membership gifts, the Women's Leadership Council fully supported Kindergarten Club for 2007 and 2008. Kindergarten Club is a new and exciting quarterly postal mail program designed around themes of: health and nutrition, fitness, prevention, and back to school. Boxes are mailed out quarterly to families who participated in Kindergarten Camp sessions. They reinforce the concepts learned in the summer programs and encourage the families to improve health and nutrition at the same time. In addition, each mailing includes a survey that will allow us to collect data on time spent in learning activities and skill improvement.
Results over the first year show that the reinforcement of learning concepts is working to improve skill and behavior. See the chart below for survey results from each mailing.
