Youth Success
A community based effort targeting school aged children and the issues of academic achievement, exposure and development of career interests, and making healthy choices.

Our initiative places the community resources of United Way of Lake County into projects to fill gaps in services that are a result of a variety of issues: low income, limited English, and limited access to cultural experiences that show a wide variety of opportunities. We have piloted our program in Waukegan elementary schools. YOUTH SUCCESS GOALS: |
PROGRAMS/PRODUCTS:
1. Provide for the basic needs of students: school supplies, books, school grounds and physical improvements
2. Improve students' skills and help them develop career interests through academic enrichment activities
3. Encourage greater parent involvement in the schools by providing information and assisting with family programs
