Yes! I want to volunteer as a Science Speaker.

United Way needs volunteers to visit classrooms in Waukegan elementary schools to talk about science topics as they pertain to careers and interests. The four Waukegan elementary schools participating in the project are: Clearview, Glen Flora, Lyon Magnet and North. School is in session between 8:05 AM and 2:38 PM.

This volunteer commitment involves: a minimum of two 30 minute speaking engagements to grade school children about occupation or interest as it relates to the children's science curriculum. Presentations should run about 20 minutes. An additional 5-10 minutes is for a question and answer session. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before you are scheduled to speak.
